Easter has came and went...and...yea I'm still on pastels! Haven't seen too many pastel hues this season but be aware THEY'RE OUT THERE!

Back in September I blogged about SIDE OF STYLE client Nikki and how I took notice of her style game and her ability to out shine a chic that wears a size 3 (Click here to read: The Houston Accessory Designer). SIZE WITH A SIDE OF STYLE...

 This past Saturday I had a ball during a styling session with a Realtor (1st photo below) and on Sunday I had the pleasure of styling a photo shoot for an Accessory Designer (2nd photo below). Over the last few weeks, while pulling pieces for both clients, I was sooooo excited because neither female was the size 2-4-6-8 that I'd been pulling looks for recently! These females were a size WOMAN. I enjoyed pulling the looks so much that I decided to create a SIDE OF STYLE "WOMAN SIZE" Facebook album (aside from the usual albums I post work in, more photos will be posted HERE soon). The thing I love most about "style" is that it comes in any HEIGHT, SHAPE, or SIZE...isn't that a beautiful thing?!?

JUST A TOUCH...

Soooo yea...yea...it's Solange again LOL! A colorful outfit with just the right touch of leopard (and the touch of leopard isn't a shoe or a bag) is like one of the most amazing things to me...seriously! I pulled a look from the SIDE OF STYLE files that has full on color with a touch...a pinch...a sprinkle of leopard!

HOUSTON COMMUNITY COLLEGE x 30 YEARS OF STYLE...

Below is a video, from last year, featuring an exhibit showcasing "30 YEARS OF STYLE"(1980 to Now)...yes indeed! The exhibit was showcased last Spring/Summer at Houston Community College/Lifestyle Arts and Design Careers Division in honor of a staff member retiring after 30 years of working in the fashion/design field. I can listen to Freddy Saucedo, HCC Fashion Design Student, talk about fashion ALL DAY...he's so in depth with it! Kay King, Division Chair, gave me all the details of this year's exhibit and I'll be sure to post the info here in the future!

HIGH YELLOW and SOLANGE...

Last night I spotted the lovely HIGH YELLOW skirt below...in case I haven't mentioned YELLOW IS MY FAVORITE COLOR! Once I laid eyes on the skirt I instantly went into MOMMIES, MODELS, MANAGERS, AND MAVENS mode and styled this 1 skirt 4 ways. THEN I was reading a natural hair blog and spotted Solange in what appeared to be the same HIGH YELLOW skirt (oh the skirt I posted below is by Tibi, click HERE for a closer look)...and Solange is rocking it oh so well! I know-I know I need to quit jocking Solange's style but I SURE WON'T and I SURE WANT!
