I've been sooooo busy this month with projects outside of the male style showcase I have lined up. It seems June will be long gone once I finalize that, but that doesn't mean I can't give you something to tie you in until then! Make fun of clothes, stay far from average, and avoid the crowd blend...take that and apply it fellas!

I have not had the time to catch up with this young man for an official interview...my schedule is nonstop and I regret it at times! But I do know he goes by the name Willi Stiles and he and I connected on Facebook awhile back after Clyde, of Image. In , told me Stiles designed multi finger rings. Since connecting with Stiles (on Facebook) I noticed he oversees several street wear brands, is a philanthropist, and loves-Loves-LOVES HIS SON! It's usual for a guy to log on Facebook and tell of haps from street running the night before...but it's unusual for a guy to log on Facebook and tell what his son did the night before or earlier that morning. Stiles also headed a campaign "NO REST FOR THE HUNGRY" that focused on food bins all over Houston to assist with feeding Houston's hungry...glad to see another person in the style field that knows AND shows it's not all about us! And for that alone "DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS...STYLE!" salutes you this "MEN'S STYLE MONTH" Willi Stiles. Continue to push your brands forward and putting your son FIRST; HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO YOU AND THE REST OF THE YOUNG FATHER'S OUT THERE PUSHING TO MAKE IT!
Below are a few photos of Stiles items, along with links, that are available online. And a photo of Stiles and his son that won my heart when he was tagged in the photo last month on Facebook:

Remember the SIDE OF STYLE "ENHANCE HER fight CANCER Giveaway" details that were plugged  HERE during the month of May? Well the super publicist MJRoyPR and I worked our bums off at an attempt to spread the word. I plugged the giveaway details whenever I saw fit and MJRoyPR did the same! He sent out press releases and the whole nine, hardworking dude he is! But to my surprise my inbox was quiet as a mouse as far as the cancer giveaway submissions goes. It paled in comparison to giveaways SIDE OF STYLE launched in the past. Stats showed the posts/threads were being read but I guess readers could not relate. I knew any attempt in that form is a gamble and the month of May came and went without one entry. No discouragement felt at all, but I hate that I didn’t get the chance to be of service to a female who deserves it…but I know she’s out there! THE earring designer/artist, Zulane (look her up), posted one of her clients in some of her pink breast cancer ribbon earrings. Not only was I wowed by Zulane’s design but the female who wore them made me want to re-launch the cancer giveaway all over again! She posed in all of her glamorous glory; I would’ve thought she wore her beautiful buzz cut haircut by choice! After linking with her, via Facebook, I’ve became even more inspired by her. On my personal Facebook page I see status update after status update of senseless topics...NO SUBSTANCE AT ALL, complaints, and arguments! But this female status updates, in the midst of her chemo treatments, read statements like “I DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU’RE GOING THROUGH…BUT WILL YOU ALLOW ME TO ENCOURAGE YOU? HE DID IT FOR ME AND HE’LL DO THE SAME FOR YOU!” Encouraging update after encouraging update in the midst of her struggle...who can relate? She is co-founder of Dallas based SEXY AFTER 30 www.sexyafter30.com https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sexy-After-30/156503329867 , owner of http://www.lashesandmakeup.com/ , a fighter, and a SURVIVOR- KoCo Powell, and she has allowed me to share personal photos from a recent photo shoot that took place in the midst of her battling CANCER! So beautiful, so stylish, so inspiring! Ladies it may be and it could be us one day; be inspired/encouraged! (Also, for those in the Dallas area, see the invite below for a benefit being held in honor of this beauty)

Last year when I stumbled up Houston's Phil Wade, on YouTube, I could not stop watching the footage below. In case you didn't know I LOVE to giggle at silliness! After seeing what Mr. Wade did with a RICK ROSS song did it for me and I've been following him ever since. Not only is he funny and talented but his style of dress is ALL HIS OWN...I salute him for that alone! If you've never heard of Phil Wade get to know him and his work via his website, Facebook, and Twitter:

And if you haven't already please view the YouTube video below, Phil's FLEX ON THE DEVIL t-shirt will make silly sense after viewing!

If you have been following me since I blogged on the F-List and shared SIDE OF STYLE information on MySpace THANK YOU for hanging in there with me throughout the years! If you read/follow DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS...STYLE!, followed me on Twitter, followed my Tumblr, and/or "Like" www.facebook.com/sideofstyle  please continue to view...there's so much more to come! If you found DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS...STYLE! a couple of minutes ago and do not have a clue what all the above means...allow me to introduce myself: I'm Key, a Wardrobe Stylist/Personal Shopper (Officially since 2008), and I provide styling services via SIDE OF STYLE. Prior to SIDE OF STYLE I was 1 of 2 writers on the blog "THE F LIST" and we blogged about everything that was funky, fresh, and fly in the world of FASHION (Shout out to my east coast connect Candace)! I then started "DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS...STYLE!" focusing solely on style/fashion around my home state. Lately SIDE OF STYLE and DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS...STYLE! have been my focus but my sister, niece, and a few others have pushed me at times about starting a blog that would allow me to express myself more. A few months ago I promised my sister that I would cover that outlet this summer and then came N.I.C.E.! N as in "News", I as in me-myself-and-"I"/Information/Ideas, C as in Clothes, and E as in Entertainment (as they all relate to STYLE of course!). So feel free to follow/add N.I.C.E. to your favorites and log on to see me share my personal style and bring you style goodies/goodness from all across the globe! Hope my N.I.C.E. journey is interesting enough for you to stick around; lay back-kick it-and-enjoy the ride! Thanks for reading---Key
It pays to be N.I.C.E. ...hope to see/hear from you there!
(*Psssst* The site is still at the "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" stage and if you see any weirdness and typos BARE WITH ME...LOL Thanks)

As hot as it has been outside I can't stand to look at Fall/Winter clothes; father where are the coolig stations? But I'm currently stocking my styling kits with Fall/Winter goods so I'm in the mood! Let's see denim shirt under sweater, kneck tie over denim shirt, but under the sweater, scrunch the sweater sleeves to expose the denim sleeves, and then add more denim...stay far from average fellas!

I have a thing for metallic sneakers...metallic brings an edge that a sneaker would not have in a "regular" color. Yum!

June of last year I decided to post male only  topics here (and at www.facebook.com/sideofstyle ) and declare June as MALE STYLE MONTH! The response from the men folk was awesome, so I decided to make it an ongoing thing from here on out...to let the fellas know I have that work for them as well!
As I stated several times before I love style from ALL angles...I do not discriminate at all! And with that I can't and won't leave out the indie streetwear brands because not only do they hustle like crazy to move their brand but it also gives a crew of young folks something to focus on (I've blogged about it numerous times Texas Streetwear Expo ). A few months ago I stumbled upon an indie streetwear brand based in Houston, RICH GHETTO KIDS (The name is catchy, simple, and straight to the point...gotta love it!), and immediately fell for the images below from their past collection lookbook. I cannot say how much in like I am in with the back of that jacket! Their most recent collection can be purchased on their website RichGhettoKids . I hope this brand hangs in there and recently I read RICH GHETTO KIDS had a celebrity baseball game with some of the proceeds going to charity, got to salute them for that!
